It’s a given that both Game Developers, Artists  and Art Students enjoy their coffee.  Our office managers heard their requests and have worked with Starbucks to install a corporate location inside BOSi Art Studios.  Now our team and students will have ready access to enjoy their favorite coffee, cappuccinos, and blended drinks – when needed!

We are looking forward to creating and naming a few custom drinks available only at our location!

Though we prefer to meet our industry friends and colleagues in person, for this year’s online summit, BOSi proudly continued our support of XDS by contributing as a supporting sponsor – our 3rd year running.

Additionally our Director of Sales, Joe Santos continued his passion for helping share game industry knowledge by hosting a vendor specific Table Topic at this year’s event. This allowed for vendors an opportunity to share challenges, tips, and techniques to help manage client’s expectations in an open forum. It was great to have an international group represented from Russia, Brazil, Manila, and the US.

Despite the challenges of a global pandemic – BOSi continued to grow this year and recently moved into a much larger building near the Shanghai city center.  Our new office accommodates for larger classrooms and learning spaces for our students at the BOSi Art Institute on the first floor, while our BOSi Production Studio enjoys the 2 floors above in a newly reinvented space. 

As a new service, BOSi now has the availability to provide dedicated project team rooms which allows for artists to work together behind an additional level of secured access (coupled with separate IT infrastructure). 

Additionally, our new HQ also features a gaming area / lounge, cafeteria, coffee bar, and gym for our artists to stay sharp and healthy.

Hey everyone!

It’s been awhile since we’ve done a blog post but don’t worry, you’ll be hearing from us a lot more often. We hope you look forward to staying up-to-date with BOSi and learning more about the team.

That being said, we are happy to announce that BOSi Art Studios will be attending GDC 2019! We have a lot planned and hope you’re as excited for GDC as much as we are. There’s a lot of great sessions – with all the momentum from the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man last year, we’re really excited to check out Matt McAuliffe, Brian Mullen and Ryan Benno from Insomniac Games as their panel will take deep dives into how each department handled the creation of materials, textures, models, set dressing, and lighting across the entire city of Manhattan, and how all of these assets came together. With over 500 exhibitors, we’re also looking forward to going to the new Exhibitor Hall!

While watching panels and visiting exhibitors is always fun, our favorite part about attending GDC has always been the people. We’ve made so many friends at GDC and this will be a great opportunity to not only strengthen old relationships, but also forge new ones. So if you see us floating the halls, lobbies, and expo floor we’d love to catch up or talk about how we can work together!

XDS 2018 was great! We networked with Producers, Art Directors, and colleagues, hosted a cocktail hour with local studio East Side Games, and formed new awesome relationships. Operating just over a decade in China, BOSi Art Studios is growing steadily into western AAA markets and our team’s hard work is starting to grace game screens from mobile to living rooms. Looking forward to 2019!
